Volleyball Game Preview: Clifton Cubs vs. Lexington Eagles + How To Watch

Clifton is on an 11-game streak of home wins, while Lexington is on a 16-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Cubs will welcome the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Clifton is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Blooming Grove.

Clifton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Scarlett Kennedy, who had eight digs and two aces, and Madison Otter, who had five digs and four aces. Otter is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 22 games she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Clifton was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Lexington got the win against Elkhart on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Clifton's win bumped their record up to 38-6. As for Lexington, their victory bumped their record up to 31-9.

Clifton couldn't quite get it done against Lexington in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Cubs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
