Basketball Game Preview: Lugoff-Elgin Demons vs. Ridge View Blazers

Lugoff-Elgin hasn't had much luck against Ridge View recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lugoff-Elgin Demons will welcome the Ridge View Blazers at 7:30 p.m.

On Friday, Lugoff-Elgin ended up a good deal behind Blythewood and lost 50-34. The game marked the Demons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ridge View). They claimed a resounding 103-65 victory over Spring Valley. The win was familiar territory for the Blazers who have now won eight matches in a row.

Ridge View is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Lugoff-Elgin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-9.

Things could have been worse for Lugoff-Elgin, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 90-73 loss to Ridge View in their previous meeting on Saturday.
