Basketball Game Preview: Roosevelt Teddies vs. Eagle Ridge Academy

The Roosevelt Teddies will venture away from home to face off against Eagle Ridge Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Roosevelt will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Minneapolis Southwest, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Teddies walked away with a 58-45 win over the Lakers on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Teddies as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Roosevelt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lilly Braziel, who shot 89% from the field en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. Braziel is becoming a predictor of the Teddies' success: when she posts at least 15 points the team is undefeated (and 9-10 when she doesn't). Another player making a difference was Nya Carpenter, who went 5-for-7 on her way to 14 points and five blocks.

Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They took down Breck 48-31.

Roosevelt's record now sits at 14-10. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, their record is now 5-9.
