Volleyball Game Preview: Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles vs. Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests

The Model Secondary School for the Deaf Eagles will take on the Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Model Secondary School for the Deaf earned a 3-1 victory over McLean. The Eagles haven't had any issues with McLean recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Model Secondary School for the Deaf walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-19, 19-25, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Sandy Spring Friends was able to grind out a solid win over Spencerville Adventist Academy on Monday, taking the game 3-1.

Sandy Spring Friends had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-8, 25-15, 25-21.

Model Secondary School for the Deaf's victory bumped their record up to 15-16. As for Sandy Spring Friends, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
