Basketball Recap: CrossPointe Christian Academy Takes a Loss

CrossPointe Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 61-37 to the Central Christian Crusaders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-53 last Friday.

It was another big night for Rocky Steidinger, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 38 rebounds for Central Christian. Steidinger has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more boards the last 23 times he's played. Avery Steidinger was another key player, going 6 of 12 on his way to 12 points.

CrossPointe Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Central Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-9 record this season.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. CrossPointe Christian Academy will face off against The Forest School at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. As for Central Christian, they will square off against Praise Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.8 points per game this season.
