Gaffney was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in AAAA Region II. Earlier in the week, the Indians triumphed over Riverside 35-9.

Byrnes added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Mauldin, 76-49. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.

Shuler Bentley threw for 510 yards and 8 touchdowns. He was 30-39 with 0 interceptions.

Bentley put up the best numbers in passing as Byrnes topped the Mavericks. Bentley's favorite target this week was Shaedon Meadors, who caught 10 passes for 205 yards.

Bobby Bentley's team's Bentley and Meadors led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-1 quarterback Bentley has thrown for 3,426 yards this season, while Meadors has 54 catches for 1,154 yards. Gaffney's Hyleck Foster leads the league in rushing yards with 963.

The most important game in AAAA Region II this week will be the match up between Dan Jones' team and Boiling Springs. The Indians enters the game ranked 16th in the state, while the Bulldogs ranks 14th.

Gaffney's Foster is a mere 37 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 157 carries Foster has put up 963 yards this year.

Rick Tate's team and Dorman played the most contested game in the league this week, with Rick Tate's team eventually emerging with a 35-31 victory.
