Baseball Recap: Corvallis Triumphs

Corvallis's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Stevensville Yellowjackets by a score of 10-7. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Maurice Craun was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Haedon Jessop, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Corvallis' victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Stevensville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Corvallis will challenge Noxon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Stevensville, they will square off against Florence-Carlton at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
