Recap: Stafford Trojans vs. Fairfield Falcons
The Stafford Trojans entered their tilt with the Fairfield Falcons with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Stafford strolled past Fairfield with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-40. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Stafford also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Stafford was led to victory by Jake Simmons and Brody Kerschenske. Simmons scored 16 points along with three steals, while Kerschenske dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Jimi Oleson was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Stafford's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. As for Fairfield, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stafford will take on Skyline at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairfield, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cunningham at 7:30 p.m. Cunningham presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fairfield in Kansas (Cunningham is ranked 119th, while Fairfield is ranked 277th).
