Basketball Recap: Chiefland Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Chiefland extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Nyasia Bivins. The Chiefland Indians took down the Oak Hall Eagles 45-27 on Tuesday thanks in part to Bivins, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Brianna Bell, who posted five points and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 34 games she's played dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Oak Hall still got an impressive performance from Kate Colburn, who had 12 points.

Chiefland pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Oak Hall, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.

Chiefland will head out to take on Saint Francis Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saint Francis Catholic has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Oak Hall, they will welcome Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Oak Hall is facing Union County at the right time seeing as Union County is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
