Baseball Game Preview: Bangor Cardinals vs. Viroqua Blackhawks

The Bangor Cardinals will take on the Viroqua Blackhawks on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bangor 3.8, Viroqua 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Bangor took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Nekoosa 8-1. Considering the Cardinals have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Viroqua sidestepped Luther for a 3-2 victory. That's two games straight that the Blackhawks have won by just one run.

Bangor has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Viroqua, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.
