It was close but no cigar for the Nutley Maroon Raiders as they fell 47-43 to the Livingston Lancers on Tuesday. The loss was just more heartbreak for Nutley, who fell 36-33 when the teams previously met in January.

The defeat dropped the Maroon Raiders' record to 3-14. Livingston's win brought them up to 10-8.

The Maroon Raiders will stay at home against East Orange Campus on Thursday. Nutley fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game as the odds are decidedly against them. As for Livingston, they will go up against Millburn on Thursday. Unlike Livingston, Millburn will be limping in after taking a loss.
