Volleyball Recap: Midland Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Midland hadn't done well against Woodland recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Timberwolves came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0. The Timberwolves were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Timberwolves were just returning the favor.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23.

Midland's offense was headlined by Anna McGlasson and Jordyn Pyles, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Foster and her 12 assists.

Midland's win ended a five-match drought at home and bumped them up to 22-9. As for Woodland, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-17.

Midland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against St. Bede on the 23rd. Woodland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
