Football Game Preview: Arcadia Titans vs. Combs Coyotes + How To Watch

Arcadia is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will be playing at home against the Combs Coyotes at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Arcadia's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past ALA - West Foothills 20-0. The Titans' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Arcadia got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ian Slater out in front who picked up 87 receiving yards and one TD. Ryan Jimenez handled things on the ground, rushing for 107 yards.

Meanwhile, Combs put their dominant defense on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Friday. They breezed past Maryvale to the tune of 58-0. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Coyotes considering their two-point performance the contest before.

Combs' win came from a few key players Arcadia will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kannin Hale, who threw for 170 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. What's more, he racked up 168.8 passer rating, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. Branson Moak helped Hale out on the ground, rushing for 68 yards and a pair of scores on only six carries.

Combs didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alan Chaparro and Amarion Horrison. Horrison is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last three games he's played. Combs got some further help from Samuel Pearson: he picked up five sacks, forced two fumbles, and made 11 total tackles (9.0 for loss).

Arcadia's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Combs, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-0.

Friday's matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Jimenez and Moak. Jimenez just won't slow down this season and has averaged 103.6 rushing yards per game. Moak has been a dominant force too and has run in 7 touchdowns while averaging 85.8 rushing yards per game.

Arcadia was able to grind out a solid victory over Combs in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 24-15. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Coyotes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
