Basketball Recap: St. Bonaventure Falls Short of Cleveland in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Bonaventure can now relate to. They took a 73-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday. The Seraphs have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Several Seraphs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Charlie Adams, who went 8-for-16 en route to 19 points. Adams' evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Mathew Wilson, who shot 56% from the field on his way to 14 points.

St. Bonaventure's defeat dropped their record down to 26-8. As for Cleveland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 21 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6 record this season.

St. Bonaventure does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cleveland, they are taking a road trip to face off against Westchester at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westchester will roll in looking for their 17th straight win, something Cleveland surely won't give up without a fight.
