Basketball Recap: Sierra Vista Victorious

Sierra Vista won the last time they faced Lee Williams, and Donnayja Gibson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Sierra Vista Mountain Lions strolled past the Lee Williams Volunteers with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 60-44 thanks in part to Gibson, who posted 24 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Sierra Vista's points.

Sierra Vista's record is now 7-5. As for Lee Williams, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Sierra Vista will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rancho at 5:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
