Basketball Recap: Otis-Bison Cougars vs. Ashland Blue Jays
The Otis-Bison Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 46-16 loss at the hands of Ashland. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Otis-Bison has scored all season.
Ashland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily McPhail, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Biannca Ceniceros, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Otis-Bison has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Ashland, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-8.
Otis-Bison will head out on the road to face off against the Coyotes on Monday. Kinsley is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Ashland, they will be playing at home against the Buffaloes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
