Volleyball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Girard Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Quakers of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.

Abigail Knickerbocker paced Salem's offense, picking up 12 kills. Knickerbocker got some help from Macey Troy and her 17 assists.

Leading Girard to victory were Chloe Plant and Kyra Bell. Plant had four digs and two aces, while Bell had ten digs and one assist. Plant is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 20 games she's played.

Salem's loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Girard, the win snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 7-14 record.

Salem has already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Hubbard on the 9th. As for Girard, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Crestview on the 9th.
