Basketball Recap: Campbell-Savona Takes a Loss

Campbell-Savona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 63-37 to the Jasper-Troupsburg Wildcats. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in November of 2023.

Jasper-Troupsburg was led to victory by Landon Zver and Jim Ainsworth. Zver went 11 for 18 on his way to 22 points and five assists, while Ainsworth posted 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The game was Zver's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Remchuk, who earned seven points.

Campbell-Savona's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Jasper-Troupsburg, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-6.

Campbell-Savona has already played their next contest (against Houghton Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jasper-Troupsburg will challenge Canisteo-Greenwood at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Canisteo-Greenwood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
