Recap: Agua Fria Owls vs. Deer Valley Skyhawks
The Agua Fria Owls suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by Deer Valley on the road and fell 101-52. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Agua Fria in their matchups with Deer Valley: they've now lost six in a row.
Agua Fria lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Anthony Perez, who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Daniels, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Agua Fria's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Deer Valley, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Agua Fria will take on Peoria at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peoria is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Deer Valley, Deer Valley and Cactus will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cactus is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
