Softball Recap: Castilleja Comes Up Short

Castilleja lost against Palo Alto back in March of 2017, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gators lost 15-3 to the Vikings. The Gators' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Taryn Johnson was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season.

Castilleja's record is now 2-5. As for Palo Alto, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Castilleja will take on South San Francisco at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Palo Alto, they will square off against Saratoga at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
