Baseball Recap: Pell City Comes Up Short

Pell City couldn't beat Pike Road on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Panthers fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 7-5. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 9-4.

Pell City has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Pike Road, their win bumped their record up to 24-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Pell City will head out to challenge Oxford at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Pike Road, they are taking a road trip to square off against Rehobeth at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
