Romeoville lost to Joliet Central back in May of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Spartans walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Steelmen.

The win didn't come easy: Joliet Central scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Easton Neely paced Romeoville's offense, picking up nine kills. Neely got some help from Jasiah Ducksworth and his 11 assists.

Romeoville's victory bumped their record up to 14-12. As for Joliet Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-21 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Romeoville will face off against Oswego at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Joliet Central, they will square off against Joliet West at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Tigers have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
