Soccer Game Preview: Jesuit vs. Folsom

The Jesuit Marauders will square off against the Folsom Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Jesuit is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Rocklin on Tuesday. Jesuit fell just short of Rocklin by a score of 1-0. The shutout was out of character for the Marauders seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Meanwhile, Folsom was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Davis Sr. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 440th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 54th).

Jesuit now has a losing record at 3-4-5. As for Folsom, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6-3.
