Trumbull waltzed into their match on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Everything went their way against the Bridgeport Central Hilltoppers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in April.

While Trumbull might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Bridgeport Central scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-19.

Trumbull can attribute much of their success to Aarav Modi, who had five digs and four aces. Those four aces gave Modi a new career-high.

Modi wasn't the only good server: Trumbull was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Trumbull's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. As for Bridgeport Central, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-9.

Coming up, Trumbull will square off against New Canaan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bridgeport Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
