Rochester beats Sacred Heart-Griffin for their ninth straight win

The Rochester Rockets put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They came out on top against Sacred Heart-Griffin by a score of 31-21. Given Rochester's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Sacred Heart-Griffin is ranked 88th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rochester's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Henry Buecker led the charge by picking up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Nolan Mrozowski and his 99 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Rochester's win.
Rochester's win was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-0. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, their defeat ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-3.
Rochester will take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, they will head out on the road to face off against Thornton Fractional North at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
