Make it four blowout wins for the Hobgood Charter Raiders this season. They blew past Ocracoke 48-4 at home on Thursday. The victory was just what Hobgood Charter needed coming off of a 56-27 defeat in their prior game.

Janiya Blanding went supernova for Hobgood Charter, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsey Peel, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

Hobgood Charter's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Ocracoke, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hobgood Charter will take on the Hurricanes at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cape Hatteras is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Ocracoke, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lakers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mattamuskeet comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last ten games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
