Softball Recap: Santa Ynez Comes Up Short

Santa Ynez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-1 to the Santa Maria Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-7 back in March.

Santa Ynez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Santa Maria, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Coincidentally, Santa Ynez and Santa Maria will both be playing San Luis Obispo the next time they take the field. The Pirates will host the Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Saints will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
