Basketball Recap: Jackson-Olin Wins Going Away Against Parker

Jackson-Olin hadn't done well against Parker recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Jackson-Olin Mustangs enjoyed a cozy 54-37 victory over the Parker Thundering Herd. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 48-43 last Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Parker lost, don't look at Teralyn Hill. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. Hill is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Kamila Dabney, who posted four points along with six assists and five boards.

Jackson-Olin's record now sits at 10-6. As for Parker, they dropped their record down to 2-16 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Jackson-Olin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-41 loss against Homewood on the 20th. Parker has also already played their next contest, a 51-16 defeat against Clay-Chalkville on the 18th.
