Baseball Recap: Oak Forest's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Oak Forest never let their opponents score on Monday. Everything went their way against the Tinley Park Titans as they made off with an 11-0 win. Considering the Bengals have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Danny Chopp, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Evan Gamboa was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Oak Forest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory (which was Oak Forest's third in a row) raised their record to 5-6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Tinley Park, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-7.
