Volleyball Recap: New Covenant Christian Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Elijah Hess and Samuel Rotunda

New Covenant Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to West Shore Christian Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against West Shore Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Tuesday.

While New Covenant Christian was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into West Shore Christian Academy's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 28-26.

Samuel Rotunda and Elijah Hess certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Rotunda had 21 digs, while Hess had ten digs. Rotunda has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last four times he's played.

New Covenant Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for West Shore Christian Academy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
