 Hillsborough and Tampa Bay Tech squared off in some playoff action  on Monday, but Hillsborough had to settle for second. They took  a  10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tampa Bay Tech Titans. Hillsborough was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Tampa Bay Tech apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April.
  Verniyah Corbett led a balanced group of hitters,  going 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI.  Jayla Feliciano was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
 On Tampa Bay Tech's side,  Brooklyn Morton? spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned  (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.
 At the plate,  Taliyah Hopkins? was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Taylor Boglin?, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Hillsborough's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their win bumped their record up to 5-15.
 Hillsborough does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tampa Bay Tech, they will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Wiregrass Ranch at 7:00  p.m. Wiregrass Ranch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9  runs per game  this season.
