Basketball Recap: Geneseo Finds Home Court Redemption Against Rock Island

There's no place like home for Geneseo, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They snuck past the Rock Island Rocks with a 39-34 win on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Maple Leafs: when they faced off against the Rocks back in December of 2024, they had to take a 58-43 defeat.

Geneseo's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-14. As for Rock Island, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Geneseo has already played their next match (against Quincy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rock Island has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against East Moline United.
