Basketball Game Preview: McComb Panthers vs. Continental Pirates

The McComb Panthers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Continental Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for McComb and 12 for Continental dating back to last season.

On Friday, McComb came up short against Pandora-Gilboa and fell 48-36.

Meanwhile, Continental played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. 2025 welcomed they with a 57-31 loss courtesy of Ayersville.

McComb's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Continental, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

McComb came up short against Continental when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 53-40. Can McComb avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
