Basketball Recap: Tampa Bay Tech's Undefeated Season over After Five Games + How To Watch

After flying high against Largo on Monday, Tampa Bay Tech came back down to earth. The Titans fell just short of the King Lions by a score of 69-67 on Tuesday. The contest marked the Titans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Loss or not, Tampa Bay Tech got some senior leadership from Dexter Lawson and Aamir Stafford. Lawson dropped a double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while Stafford dropped a double-double with 14 points and 17 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lawson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Jackson, who posted 11 points.

King's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was George (TJ) Daniels, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 20 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Rodney Smith, who went 7-for-10 en route to 15 points and eight boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Tampa Bay Tech fell to 4-1. As for King, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Tampa Bay Tech has already played their next game, a 66-57 victory against Manatee on the 3rd. As for King, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 73-57 win against Wharton on the 5th.
