Basketball Recap: Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory Drops Highest Score of Season Against Rocky Mountain Lutheran

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory). They strolled past the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 72-54. The Knights pushed the score to 62-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Eagles cut but never quite recovered from.

Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from John Miller, who went 9 for 14 en route to 21 points. Carter Grady was another key player, going 7 of 16 on his way to 16 points.

Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocky Mountain Lutheran only posted four assists.

Findley Edmunds and Abraham Rivas certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Edmunds went 6 for 14 en route to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals, while Rivas went 9 of 22 on his way to 23 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Edmunds a new career-high in points. Joe Kappel also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.

Chesterton Academy of Our Lady of Victory will be playing in front of their home fans against Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they will take on Denver Waldorf at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Denver Waldorf will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Rocky Mountain Lutheran surely won't give up without a fight.
