Softball Game Preview: Stevenson Bulldogs vs. Fort Vancouver Trappers

For the second straight game, Stevenson will face off against Fort Vancouver. The Bulldogs will welcome the Trappers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stevenson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season.

Stevenson is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 21-4 margin over Fort Vancouver on Tuesday. Considering the Bulldogs have won four matches by more than nine runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Rebecca Townsend was a standout: she scored five runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Nordgaard, who scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Townsend wasn't the only one making solid contact: Stevenson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. The Bulldogs are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Fort Vancouver's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Stevenson, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3.
