Last Friday, Westside earned a 60-52 victory over Gate City.
Westside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kmajay Jenkins led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Jenkins set a new season high mark in blocks with three. Tiyelle Hollings was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, Wade Hampton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher two weeks ago after their seventh straight loss. They lost to Mauldin at home by a decisive 71-55 margin. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wade Hampton in their matchups with Mauldin: they've now lost six in a row.
Westside's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Wade Hampton, they bumped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
