It was a good run, but Sanger unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 71-56 to the Panther Creek Panthers.

Leading Panther Creek to victory were SABIEN MCGRAW and RODNEY WAGNER. MCGRAW went 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points along with five assists and five boards, while WAGNER went 6 of 10 en route to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of XAVIER RAINWATER, who posted eight points.

Sanger's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Panther Creek, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-7.

Sanger and Panther Creek should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Sanger (ranked 118th) will meet Lake Dallas (ranked 568th) at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Meanwhile, Panther Creek (ranked 133rd) will meet Madison (ranked 744th) at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday.
