Football Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Grandview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Excelsior Springs Tigers on the road by a 22-7 margin. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 21-8 to the Tigers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Grandview's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Excelsior Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Grandview and Excelsior Springs could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Bulldogs will face off against Smithville at 7:00 a.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (204 vs. 35). Meanwhile, Excelsior Springs (ranked 184th) will meet Central (ranked 46th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
