Basketball Recap: AB Cordova's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Thunderbird Adventist Academy over Paradise Valley Christian Prep

Thunderbird Adventist Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 44-28 bruising from the Paradise Valley Christian Prep Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Thunderbird Adventist Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 35-19 back in November of 2024.

Thunderbird Adventist Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being AB Cordova, who posted six points and three steals. Mun Sumlut was another key player, putting up six points and five boards.

Thunderbird Adventist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Paradise Valley Christian Prep, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-5.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Trinity Christian the next time they take the court. Paradise Valley Christian Prep will host Trinity Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Thunderbird Adventist Academy will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
