The King Wolves will challenge the Corona Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. King will be strutting in after a win while Corona will be coming in after a loss.
King is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They enjoyed a cozy 44-28 victory over Santiago on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolves considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead King to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ben* Major, who rushed for 346 yards and three scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Major is now averaging an impressive 105.3 rushing yards per game. Colton* Zeen was another key player, rushing for 126 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: King was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 477 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
King's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Santiago's QB won't forget Aaron* Richardson anytime soon given he sacked him twice.
Meanwhile, Corona entered their matchup against Great Oak on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Panthers were beaten by the Wolfpack 49-14. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Although Corona took the loss, they still got scores from Nico Mejia and Angel Heredia.
King pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.3 points over those games. As for Corona, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. King has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 215.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Corona struggles in that department as they've been averaging 167.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for King against Corona in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 45-10 win. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
