Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harrison Central). They came out on top against the St. Martin Yellow Jackets by a score of 10-7 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Red Rebels in their matchups with the Yellow Jackets: they've now won three in a row.
Gabrielle Smith was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
