Football Recap: Rivercrest Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Rivercrest had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Ore City by a score of 17-14 on Friday. Rivercrest was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Ore City apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rivercrest will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Quitman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ore City, they will host Hughes Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
