Softball Recap: Great Bend Takes Down Ranked Liberal

Great Bend faced Liberal in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Redskins with a sharp 17-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Redskins: they've now won nine in a row.

The team relied heavily on DeShawnna Bryant, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season. Camdyn Post was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Bryant wasn't the only one making solid contact: Great Bend kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.
