Basketball Game Preview: East Side Red Raiders vs. Westfield Blue Devils

The East Side Red Raiders will challenge the Westfield Blue Devils on Thursday. East Side will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

East Side is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past American History to the tune of 87-42 on Thursday. With the Red Raiders ahead 42-11 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Hillsborough typically has all the answers at home, but on Saturday Westfield proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 52-42 victory over the Raiders. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

East Side pushed their record up to 13-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Westfield, their record now sits at 12-9.

East Side strolled past Westfield when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 63-44. Will East Side repeat their success, or does Westfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
