NCISAA Triangle league recap: 5/14/12

Aaron Mitchell was the best pitcher in the league this week. He won zero games and struck out six batters.

Cary Academy (20-0, 9-0) is red-hot, having won 20 straight games, the longest such streak in the league. The streak was extended by another two games over the past week, including a 5-3 victory over Christ School.

Durham Academy's pitching was especially stingy this week, allowing seven hits and seven walks to lead the league in both categories. The Cavaliers have given up a mere 137 hits on the year in addition to compiling 110 strikeouts. Josh Choper is the leader in that category with 38 Ks on the season.
