Football Recap: Havana Skates Past ROWVA/Williamsfield with Ease

There's no place like home for Havana, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars, posting a 28-0 win. For the Ducks, this counts as revenge for the 42-36 victory the Cougars walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Havana got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carter Brooks out in front who picked up 115 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave Brooks a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two). Another back making a difference was Cayden Green, who rushed for 80 yards and two scores.

Havana's record now sits at 2-3. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Havana will head out to take on Westmont at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Ducks will be up against the Sentinels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, they will challenge Princeville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
