Softball Recap: Prattville Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Prattville had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Holtville Bulldogs on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in February, they had to take a 15-11 loss.

Prattville saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Schrimpshire, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Prattville's win bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Holtville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-14-1.

Coming up, Prattville has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome Tuscaloosa County at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. The Wildcats are coming into the contest with five straight victories on the road, so the Lions will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Holtville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
