Eastmoor Academy hasn't had much luck against South recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eastmoor Academy Warriors will welcome the South Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Eastmoor Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Marion-Franklin to the tune of 85-42 on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Eastmoor Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Dekar Moultry, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards, and Phonie Simpkins, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Moultry has been hot, having posted 11 or more boards the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Aayden Johnson, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.
Eastmoor Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in ten consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, South got the win against Independence on Tuesday by a conclusive 78-52. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the 76ers are ranked 786th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
South's win came from a few key players Eastmoor Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was John Glover, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marquan Felts-Lipsey, who scored 14 points.
Eastmoor Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
