Football Recap: Red Hook Comes Up Short

Red Hook played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Marlboro Central Dukes, falling 27-7. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 38-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

Red Hook's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2. As for Marlboro Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Red Hook will welcome Monticello at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Raiders will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Marlboro Central, they will head out on the road to take on Port Jervis at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dukes will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
